A confusing thing happened recently. I was visiting with a group of women, very nice women. They were chuckling about odd things people saved and quaint things people did to save money. It was a charming little conversation that suddenly took a twisted turn. One friend, expecting shock and laughter, told how her mom even washed and recycled ziplock bags. Everyone laughed.....everyone but me.
I just didn't see the humor.
Do you?

Haha, I do this, too! I have one hanging on the side of my dish drainer right now... ;o)
I do that too! Scout even made me a little drying rack for them...

Have a lovely day!
No! I don't buy ziplocks, but if I happen to acquire one I will reuse it again and again. So wasteful to throw away perfectly functioning materials...seriously think about how many hundreds of years those take to break down.
My dad does this and even washes and reuses plastic drinking cups from fast food restaurants. He is always drinking from an old Taco Bell cup! I need to be better about our wastefulness. I confess to using zip lock bags every day for my kids' lunches. I should probably invest in some good tupperware type of containers that can be reused.
Right on girlfriend!!
I don't see the humor at all! ;) I'm a bag washer myself! I even bought a wood drying rack for bags which has made the process of washing and drying easy! I hope you set the record straight!
LOL, no, nothin' funny here. I would tell you about the times I've recycled coffee filters, even, but I really don't want to get laughed at. So, I won't!
I reuse LOTS of things. I love being frugal, and I try to be as green as I can, too.
