I live in an art museum...
My mother is an artist. She is a very, very talented artist. These are some of her paintings hanging in our home...
My daughter is an artist. She started winning awards when she was in junior high school. These are some of her paintings hanging in our home. (Note, the orange one is a collaborative piece she did with her husband.)
And,
I did this last one...
...all by myself.
Now, does the title of today's blog make sense?
I have a dear friend that pointed out that I must have the artist carrier gene.
I can live with that.

Oh please, you are an artist in denial... are so creative. Time to embrace it.
P.S. Most of that art was done while I was in high school.
As always, Sue, you crack me up!!! Look at all the BEAUTIFUL items you make for Etsy -- that is art as well, my friend!! I would say you definitely have more than just the carrier gene. Although I would happily post your picture on my fridge! ;)
Really, Kate, on your fridge? I'm honored at the offer but I think I've misplaced my piece... :-).
And Maria, I don't deny a creative side. Actually, my theory is that most people can be more creative if they have time and just a bit of encouragement. AND, I meant to mention that most of that was your old stuff that you don't really like for me to show. I love it all, though!
Beautiful artwork! Even yours!! Isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder??? My 5 and 8 year old are already drawing 'better' pictures than me! - they still tell me 'good try mummy' when I draw - they like my work anyway!
