WORN

Maybe this song speaks to you today...click on the title to hear it.

by Tenth Avenue North

I'm tired
I'm worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes to keep on breathing

I've made mistakes
I've let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed
By the weight of this world
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn

I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause I'm worn

I know I need
To lift my eyes up
But I'm too weak
Life just won't let up
And I know that You can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn

I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Cause I'm worn

And my prayers are wearing thin
I'm worn even before the day begins
I'm worn I've lost my will to fight
I'm worn so heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart that's frail and torn

I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that's dead inside can be reborn
Yes all that's dead inside will be reborn
Though I'm worn
Yeah I'm worn

There have been times I have felt like that. Today, I am happy to say, is not one of them.

You beat me! I was going to write a guest blog for you on this song. It just fit the style of your blog as you feature songs from time to time. During the last week, as I drive the numerous times a day this song played. At least 4 times a day, I heard this song! Unlike other songs that play often, this doesn't bother me. I've sunk in and sang my heart out. So meaningful ~prayer like. We are all worn in different spots. Some physically, some spiritually, some mentally, some financially, ect.... this song gives a moment to not whine, but cast our cares upon him who cares more than any other human. -Nicole

I can relate. But there is hope and grace and His strength when we are weak. I've not blogged or visited as much as I'd like since starting my job but its nice to do so when I'm not too worn, and very uplifting. Thank you for the visit. Blessings!
