I Don't Mean to Be Rude...

Dear Winter,

I think you may have misunderstood me.

Yes, I am grateful for all the moisture you gave us recently.

But really...

You could step aside now.

Give Spring a chance.

It's the honorable thing to do. You've had your turn.

You've done your job.

But you are getting to be a bit annoying.
What if I wanted to sit down on a nice bench and listen to the birds?

I don't mean to be rude but I'd like some gentle Spring rain now, instead of snow.
Don't take it personally.
Your snow is beautiful.
I like rain, too, though.
I don't have to scrape it off my windows.

You are welcome to come back after next Fall... but don't rush it.

Your's truly,
Sue

Your photos are beautiful, but I agree...enough already!

Ditto! I'm tired of telling myself "just be thankful for the moisture". I am very thankful for the moisture, but why does it have to be the frozen white kind?

I expect that next winter will be rainy instead of snowy. It is only fair.

Thanks, Pam. And just so you know, I think that bird nest was leftover from last year. I'd looked at it a few weeks ago and it was empty.

At least it melts quickly right now. I was plowing my way to work this morning and when I came home around 2:00 the roads were mostly wet.

Thanks, Michelle!

That does seem right. However, I don't want rain if it is too cold and just freezes, making ice. I'm rather particular, aren't I?
