Mike

Like everyone, I have made mistakes in my life.  I've said things I wish I hadn't, done things that should have been left undone and displayed attitudes I should have kept to myself until they passed.

However, I did not make a mistake when I married Mike.  My Mom was marveling recently about him.  She said something about how my high school boyfriend turned into such a wise man.  It is true.  The more I thought about it, though, the more I realized he was a pretty insightful high school boy as well.  From our very first date we discussed some pretty deep issues.  Most people did not see that side of him.  They saw the tall boy who played basketball, practical jokes and guitar.  He was all of that but so much more.  One of the things that meant a lot to me way back then was that he'd discuss his thoughts and insights with me.

No, it is not his birthday or our anniversary.  I just woke up thinking how fortunate I was to be married to this man who truly tries to always do the right thing.  He puts others above himself and he puts God before all others.  I am proud to be his wife.

Thank-you for stopping by. Feel free to use my photos but please link them back to my blog. I am honored if you wish to share content of any of my posts on Facebook, Twitter, etc. as long as it is linked back to my blog.

isn't it awesome to be married to the man you love and respect and enjoy and are just plain super happy to be with?? :)

i am so blessed to have that, too. (and i have randomly posted things about him that have made people respond with "happy anniversary" or things about our kids that have caused people to think it was a birthday, when all that day was was ordinary - i was just feeling the love and blogging about it!) ;)

and he was your high-school boyfriend?? you and maria are so. so. blessed. i didn't meet my husband until he and i had both made all kinds of choices and well, that's a story for another day . . . but in some ways i would give anything to have known ben in high school and to have only ever been with him. but - we both have testimonies of how very HUGE God's grace has been in our lives. and we are living proof that God forgives and makes things work together for His glory and our good, no matter what kind of mess He has to start with.

so - long comment. :) but. God bless you and Mike, with many more years together and many more darling grandchildren!

love and hugs,
elizabeth
